Halff’s Aleesha Toteja Recognized with Two Local ASCE Awards
AUSTIN, Texas — Halff’s Public Works Project Manager Aleesha Toteja, PE, was named the 2026 Young Civil Engineer of the Year by the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) Austin Branch Younger Member Forum (YMF). She was also selected as the 2026 Outstanding Younger Member in Community Activities by the ASCE Central Region Younger Member Council (CRYMC).
The ASCE Austin Branch YMF honors early career engineers who demonstrate leadership, professional achievements and service to the engineering community. Toteja was also named the 2026 ASCE CRYMC Outstanding Younger Member in Community Activities for her continued commitment to community service and professional leadership.
Toteja serves as the ASCE Community Service Co-chair for the Texas Section Austin Branch. In this role, she helps lead volunteer initiatives and community engagement efforts that connect engineers with service opportunities across the region. She is actively involved with Engineers Without Borders and serves on the Halff Community Initiative (HCI) Steering Committee. Halff Community Initiative (HCI) is an employee-created nonprofit that supports surrounding communities while increasing awareness of causes that matter to Halff employees.
Aleesha Toteja is a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin and has seven years of experience in civil engineering. She specializes in roadway and drainage design, with a focus on projects within developed corridors and has contributed to several large-scale drainage infrastructure projects in downtown Austin.
Her work reflects a strong commitment to resilience, equity and public safety, and she believes engineers have a responsibility to serve both people and communities.
